ECITB MJI10/18/19 - Hand + Hydraulic Torque + Hydraulic Tensioning
Course Aims
This 2.5 day course provides attendees with knowledge required for working with flanged connections through instructor led classroom and practical training using hand torque, hydraulic torque, and hydraulic tensioning equipment.
Target Audience
Technicians, maintenance and engineering personnel involved in the installation, maintenance, inspection and torquing of bolted connections.

Preparation of materials, tools, and hydraulic torque equipment

Use of high-pressure hydraulic pump

Basic maintenance of hydraulic torque equipment

Flange/Bolt tightening sequence - hydraulic torque equipment

Checking the integrity of the assembled bolted connection

Practical activity – safe disassembly, flange and fastener inspection, flange and clamp connector assembly and tightening using hydraulic torque tools
