ECITB MJI10 - Hand Torque
Course Aims
This 1 day course provides attendees with knowledge required for working with flanged and clamped piping connections through instructor led classroom and practical training using hand torque tools.
Target Audience
Technicians, maintenance and engineering personnel involved in the installation, maintenance, inspection and torquing of bolted connections.

Understanding bolt grades, sizing and selection

Principles of torque, friction and lubrication

Correct bolt tightening sequence

Clamp connector installation

Practical exercises including – safe disassembly, flange and fastener inspection, Flange and clamp connector assembly and tightening
